Mozy Community Registration

Should you need technical support, the easiest way for us to contact you or create a case through the community, is to be registered in the Mozy community.

Why You Should Register for the Community

It's surprising how many people use Mozy and regularly check the forums and blogs without actually registering for the Mozy Community. Registering has many benefits including the following:

We Can Reply to You

Yes, you can comment on the blog or on a forum topic without registering for the Community, but if you're not registered we can't tag you in our responses. The Mozy Community uses a method simlar to social media where we can use the @ symbol to tag users in responses. This makes it easier to direct information to the right person in a chain of comments.

We Can Find You

If you're a registered Mozy user, your account is linked to your Community profile. That way if you create a thread in the forum regarding something that's happening on your account or the machine attached to your account, we can easily check your profile and find your account.

We never recommend putting personal information such as your account email or billing info into a public thread on the forum. It's just not safe. However, your Community profile information is not public or available to other Users, but it can be accessed by Mozy Support and our employed forum moderators. That way we can easily find the account and look into your issue, or any other support cases you may have had.

It Only Takes a Minute

No really, it takes roughly sixty-seconds to register from the community. The hardest part is choosing a username you want to be known as publicly.

How to Register for the Mozy Community

Okay, so now that I've convinced you that you need to register for the Community, here's how to do it...

  1. Go to the Mozy Community at
  2. Click on Sign In from the upper menu bar

  1. Choose your location from the drop down
  2. Click Select

  1. Choose a community screen name and enter it next to Login name
  2. Read the Terms of Service
  3. Check the box for I have read and accept the terms of service to acknowledge you've done so
  4. Click Submit

You will now be registered for the community and able to create forum topics and respond to threads created by other users, as well as communicate with Support via private messages.

Someone has my username already?

Community Manager

@sdsd - Someone may have the same username you want if they registered their username before you. Unfortunately you will need to choose a different username if that is the case here. Sorry for the trouble!
