can't open new files

I backed up files from Windows Vista onto a computer using Windows 10.  I can see the backed up files, but can't open them.  Suggestions? Help??

Hi @janev

 

If you are on our website, in the Restore interface, that page will not open any files.

It only has the capability to give you a preview of picture files.

 

If you are wanting to open a file in the backup, you'll need to download the file to your computer first.

Then, using an appropriate application, open the file.

Hi @janev,

 

Did @PTNubs' instructions help you out? He's exactly right about opening files from the web interface. You will want to download them to your machine again before you open them.

 

If it's not the web interface you're looking at, please let us know so we can further address your concerns.
