My back ups are not being completed after having operated smoothly for 2 years on automatic back up. I get a Mozyservererror 2 message. I have rebooted without much help and started manually with the same result. .

I've been getting this same error for 38 days with no successful backup on my Laptop but on my desktop Mozy is backing up just fine.
Hopefully a Mozy tech will jump in and tell us what is going on and how to correct it.

The ServerError2 you're receiving is likely caused when a patch that Mozy tries to upload has been modified during the backup process, I've seen this happen with .log files belonging to AV software. If you have any AV install files selected, can you try remove them from the backup selection and run another backup?

I unchecked the log files from the population of files to be backed up, rebooted and started a backup. It still does not complete with 395 files remaining to be backed up. I have not had a completed back up in weeks. Any other ideas?

In the history, does it tell you which files didn't backup? Does it give a reason in the "Other Details" column (try sorting by other details).

First, no backup has been completed since 12/11. All other backups run continuously unable to finish. On the history page, assuming the bottom half of the page shows the files awaiting backup, the only comments in other details are for AVG files,(already on Mozy home servers), but there are may other files associated with Trusteer/rapport which do not have comments, a few Quickbooks files, and some pictures. I hope this helps.

Normally at this point, we would recommend finding the files that aren't uploading, removing them from the backup for 1 upload, and then adding them back in once it has finished. Since it looks like you have close to 400 files that aren't backing up, I recommend deselecting all of your files, running a backup with nothing selected, and then going back in and adding everything again. It might be a little time consuming if you have an intricate file selection, but given the amount of files that are failing, I feel like this will take less time.

See this post.
Here is a partial list of the stuff that Trusteer/rapport does. Good luck adjusting the rules sets to get it to allow Mozy to work. :-(

That explanation would not be consistent with the results I have had since I have had the Trusteer/rapport files for over a year and had smooth automatic back ups until December.

Trusteer's rule set for their rapport product change many times per day (according to their advertixing)... but maybe their software is causing fewer problems these days. No matter what the cause of your issue is, hopefully it can be solved and documented here.
