MozyPro takes too long to upload files

With Advanced View enabled I can see that most of the time MozyPro is not actually uploading anything.

Enable Bandwidth Restriction is NOT checked either.

When I run a speed test, I can get 75~MB upload speed, so it's not a network limitation.

Any clues?

Does it matter in how many servers is a user logged in?

@paulofernandes

Thank you for your posting your question.

It shouldn't matter how many servers a user is logged in at.  Also we don't limit upload speeds on our servers so if the backup is taking too long and bandwidth throttling is disable then you could test the backup on a different network.

It almost sounds like the backup is stuck rather than just running slow and if so can you tell us what is displayed on the Mozy status window.

Please post any questions or comments.

Thank you,

Jared

Re: MozyPro takes too long to upload files

@paulofernandes    Another item to check is your security software.  Perhaps there was an update that it now is preventing Mozy from operating like it was.  I recommend adding specific files/folders to your security software exclusion/exception list as per http://support.mozy.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/Add-Mozy-exclusions-to-your-anti-virus-software

Re: MozyPro takes too long to upload files

@paulofernandes

Do you know if there is any antivirus running as Angelina mentioned?  I've seen antivirus run for years on a computer and unexpectedly out of nowhere start blocking Mozy from backing up.

If there are any antivirus/anti-malware programs then program exclusions for Mozy need to be added.  You may add the Mozy install folder under C:\program files\ Mozyhome(or Mozypro) or if folder exclusion are not an option then you may add the 4 EXE files in C:\program files\ Mozyhome(or Mozypro) called Mozyhomestat.exe, Mozyhomeutil.exe, Mozyhomeconf.exe, and Mozyhomebackup.exe.

Please post any questions or comments.
