Team of 5 currently using Mozy Pro and struggling with duplicated files.
Is there a way of adding a read only or single user tag to files to ensure multiple users aren't working on the same document? We've had occasions where despite the sync, team members are viewing different versions of the same file.

That's an excellent question and I'm glad you asked that. Currently there is no option to change file permissions within Sync so the files can only be read. You could potentially try modifying the file or folder itself within the Sync folder so it can only be read, but this is primarily mandated by your Operation System (Windows, Mac, etc). This is something a local computer technician could assist you with. Normally Mozy does not advise making adjustments to file and folder permissions.
If you've tried this and still no go, I would recommend making a feature request below:
Something I do suggest however, is to locate a second user email account and enable Sync on that account if possible. If enabled, you then have another Sync container to work with to separate the file so it is not written to. This may help avoid confusion. This way you have another Sync account that only certain users have access to. That way you don't have to worry about file or folder permissions, which could come back in the future with additional potential headaches.
I'd like to add on to @ScottS1' comment regarding your Sync. Unfortunately Sync isn't meant to run active database files or files that remain open continuously, as the file does need to be closed on all machines to properly Sync any changes made to it. If it is open on one machine, that machine will be unable to receive the newer-synced version of the file, and vice versa. It can cause some complication within the file itself, and lead to what you are seeing.
