Delete old backup set

I have an old backup set (244 days old) that is 1.9 GB in size and I would like to delete it. I cannot figure it out. I have another backup set that never gets more than 24 hours old and understand that removing a file from the backup set will get that file deleted in 30 days and that once removed from the backup set it does not count against my quota any longer.

That is not the case with this old backup set though. It is counting against my quota. Both backup sets were made on the same computer one before a bad crash and one after.

I have spent months trying to figure this out and cannot do it.

Thanx in advance for any help you can give me and please don't tell me about the 30 day delete deal as I've already stated I understand that and the backup set I'm talking about is 244 days old.

Re: Delete old backup set

The term "backup set" has a definite meaning within the Mozy app... it is a set of rules that determines which files get backed up or excluded from backup. I'm not following what you mean when you use the term. Could you please post a screenshot of where you see this 1.9GB of data?

Re: Delete old backup set

I am talking about the bottom one listed here as being from maching JTMD3 size 1.9 GB last backup 244 days ago.

What should I call this?

Re: Delete old backup set

It is showing you what it thinks is two computers - that happen to be named the same.

Go to "My Computers" and delete the one that you don't want anymore.

Each computer on the account shows up as one row on the "My Computers" page.

The delete option is on the far right on each row of info.

If you happen to only have one row of info on that page - just delete it and run a manual backup.

Edit: thx for the screenshot - it was very helpful.
