I created a support case with log files and crash files, but I haven't heard any thing about it. I have had no suggestions on how to make it work. I really don't want to go through the delete everything and choose your files again. That's so painful since I selective backup a lot of folders and files.
Has anybody out there had this problem and were able to get it to work?

I've had the same experience as you, and presumably the same as many Mac users who "upgraded" to 2.0. I did find that by re-installing 1.7.3 from the download page, I was able to get Mozy working again. My support case on this says that they expect a patch "in a week or two" and will let me know if that won't be the case. In addition to releasing a patch, they expect a full dot-release in January.

Same here. Just downloaded the older version. Hopefully this time the backup will actually run!

I saw a few instances of this as well, but it resolved itself.
Unfortunately, the logs have already rolled over since it happened [actually, I only noticed it because I was looking for something else in the Log Monitor and found the Mozy crash reports].
Spidey!!!

Any word if this resolved your issue? My interpretation of that error message is that a Mozy backup thread was trying to access a value from memory was missing, the exception wasn't handled properly resulting in the crash.

I downloaded the 1.7 version (available under products.) Wouldn't upload things properly. Went into live chat, agent sent me a link to the 1.8 version. That ran fine. Then Mozy stopped working again. I realized I hadn't unchecked the "automatically install updates" checkbox and it had updated to 2.0. I had to uninstall everything, remove all the config files, then install 1.8 again. This time I unchecked the automatic installs. And Mozy is working just fine. I figure I'll try 2.0 again after the start of the year. I trust that you'll get it working better eventually.

Could you please provide us with the 1.8 version link since only the 1.7.3 is available on Mozy's website? Thanks!

I uninstalled version 2.0.0.553 not keeping the configuration and then I reinstalled and selected the files again which took awhile since I'm selective about what I backup. Now it's working fine, so if you are going to the trouble to uninstall and remove the configuration you might as well try the new version again and see if it will work.
