backup and lnux soft link

Hi,

I'm trying to backup files in a directory.  The backup directory I have configured is a soft symbolic link on my linux file system.

Mozy is backing up the file and not following the symbolic link to backup the actual files I need backed up.

Is what I'm trying to do possible?

Regards,

Brian

Re: backup and lnux soft link

Hi there! That is an excellent question. Unfortunately, the MozyPro backup client for Linux will backup the link but it wouldn't follow it to backup the directories that are linked to it (symlink).

However, the MozyPro Linux client does support backing up hard links and follows the link to the directories that are referenced.

Thanks!
