Using the summary tab

This tutorial is an overview of the Summary tab for the MozyHome Mac client, including instructions on how to perform a back up.





  1. Click on the Mozy icon in the System Preference toolbar and select Open MozyHome Preferences in the drop down menu.
  2. The MozyHome client window opens. The Summary tabs opens as default, but if it is not present, click the Summary tab.
  3. The Summary tab displays information on your back ups, including next backup, last backup, Total number of files selected, number of files awaiting backup and total space you have used of your storage quota.
  4. There are several options on the Summary tab. You can turn the client on and off, by sliding the switch under the Mozy Logo. When the Mozy client is turned off it cannot backup your files.
  5. You can click Back Up Now to begin a back up immediately.
  6. To restore a file, click Restore Files (for more information, watch Restoring Files using the Mozy Client)
  7. Click History to view details of your previous backups. The backups are listed in the left pane, and if you click on one, the files backed up are listed in the right pane. If a backup has a red circle next to it, it was an unsuccessful backup. Click on this circle and a dialogue box containing information on the error appears, including a link to the Mozy website to learn more.
  8. To increase your storage quota, click Buy More Space on the Summary page. The Mozy website opens in your default browser where you can purchase more space.
  9. To uninstall the Mozy client, click Uninstall...
