Signing up for a MozyPro account

This tutorial is an overview of the signing up process for a MozyPro account.





To register with Mozy:

  1. Browse to
  2. Enter your name and your email address.
  3. Enter and confirm your password.
  4. Enter your company information: Name, Industry, Number of Employees and Phone Number
  5. There is a short survey inquiring as to how you heard about Mozy. Check one of the boxes or if you heard of Mozy in a situation not listed, describe how in the Other text field.
  6. (Optional) Enter a Promotion Code if you have one. Promotional codes entitle you to discounts.
  7. If satisfied, click Continue.
  8. Select the amount of resources you want to purchase. The resources available are Licences and Storage Quotas. There are two types of licenses: Desktop and Server. Desktop Licenses allow you to back up files on a local machine. Server Licenses offer the same features, and in addition, can back up files on a computer using a Server OS.
  9. Select the amount of Storage Quota in GBs (Gigabytes).
  10. Select the billing method. You have the choice of paying Biennially, Yearly or Monthly.
  11. Click Continue.
  12. Enter your billing information. You are asked to enter the name of your credit card, the card number, the expiration date and the CVV2 code.
  13. Enter your address information.
  14. Click Continue. The signing up process is now complete.

To access your account:

  1. Log in at Enter the email address and password you provided during the sign up process.
  2. Click either Skip Wizard or Next. We recommend clicking Next, as the wizard will guide through the set up.
  3. Select your administrator type. There are two options: Single-admin and Multi-admin. Single Admin gives you sole control over licenses, computers and storage quota. Multi-admin allows you assign sub-admins.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Schedule when Mozy will perform backups. You have the choice between Automatic and Scheduled.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select the file types for Mozy to backup, using the Back up sets. Check the box next to the types files you wish to back up.
  8. Click Next, then click Next again. 
  9. Click Finish.
  10. Log in again to access the Admin Console.
