Restoring files using the Mozy Client

This tutorial is an overview of restoring files using the MozyHome Mac client.



  1. Click on the Mozy icon in the System Preference toolbar and select Open MozyHome Preferences in the drop down menu.
  2. The MozyHome client window opens. Press Restore Files. The first time you start a restore, you will be prompt for your password. Enter your password and click Continue.
  3. The View and Restore window appears. Find and select the files you want to restore. Select a file by clicking it. You can pick a specific previous version by selecting the back up date in the drop down menu in the top right hand corner.
  4. Select where you want to restore the file by clicking Browse and select a location where you want to restore the files. Click Choose.
  5. Choose to overwrite or rename the files. 
  6. Click Restore. A warning appears stating that any files of the same name in the location you are restoring to will be overwritten. Click Continue.
