Restoring a file from the website

The easiest and best way to restore files is to use the Mozy backup software that is installed on your computer. With the software, you can quickly restore a single file or multiple files;  including older versions of  files that you might have accidentally deleted from your computer in the past 30 days. You can even restore all of your files if needed.

If you don't have the Mozy backup client on the computer you are restoring to, or if you don't want to use the software, you can use the Mozy website. With Mozy website you can restore one file, a few files, or all your files; just as you can with the Mozy Backup software.

This tutorial will show you how to use Mozy web restore to download one or multiple files.

1. Log into your account at mozy.com/login

2. Select the Devices Tab on the left side of the page

3. Select the device you wish to restore a file (or multiple files) from

4. Clicking on the file name or image will automatically prompt you to download the file. Checking the box next to the file name will allow you to see a thumbnail (if the file is a photo) and details of the file you wish to restore.  You can then download the file as desired.
