November Webinar: Selecting Files for Backup

In this months webinar, Niall discusses selecting files for backup, using backup sets, and how to navigate the support portal.  See below the video for more information.

User Types:

Desktop -- Designed for desktop and laptop computers for backing up of office documents, pictures, media files, etc.  A desktop user cannon install on a server operating system.

Server -- Designed for server operating system but can run on a desktop computer as well.  For backing up network shares and network applications.

What files to select:

Ideally you should only be selecting your most important and critical files; such as: word documents, images video, excel, and other work specific files.

What files not to select:

You don't need to backup system files, programs downloaded from online or non-critical files.

How can Backup Sets help me?

Backup sets allow you to group specific file types, exclude/include certain file types or groupings, and backup VSS snapshots (when used on a server).
