Mozy is getting ready to release version 0.12 of the Stash beta software.
In this release, a new feature integrates with Windows in a way that finally pushed us over the line to providing a 64-bit version for Windows. For most people, the update will happen automatically. However, if you run 64-bit Windows then your update to Stash 0.12 will require your assistance. Here's what to do after 0.12 becomes available:
If your version of Windows requires a different process than what I describe above, please reply to this thread with the version you use, and I'll provide instructions specific to your system.

Thanks for the heads up, Ted. I'm running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional on a notebook linked to Stash. I'll let you know if there are any problems with the upgrade.
Installed fine on Windows 7 Home Premium V6.1 (Build 7601 Service Pack 1)
Will it be ok to install this download on a Windows 7 32-bit system ... with or without the uninstall? Or will there be a separate release?
That's a good point...one that I should have covered in my original message.
The installer for 0.12 contains both versions, 32-bit and 64-bit. It's smart enough to install the correct version for your platform. The only snafu is if you already have 32-bit installed (from Stash 0.11 and earlier) on a 64-bit system, then you have to uninstall the old version to get the 64-bit to install.
Windows 0.12 installed without any problem on a 64-bit system (with uninstall) and on a 32-bit system (with install over the existing version).
@ Ted, I have Stash installed in my 64-bit Windows 7 and have so far not noticed the slightest problem regarding synchronisation.
My System info is:
BIOS Version R0190Y9
OS Version Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1
ME Version 188.8.131.529
System Type 64-bit Operating System
Can you please be more specific about the kind of issues to which you are referring in the e-mail I received? If really everything is working fine, as I think, I won't bother changing ;-)
I suspect that your computer is still running Stash 0.11. You can check by opening the Preferences panel and looking in the bottom right corner.
If so, then the reason you haven't noticed a problem is because we still have not pushed out 0.12 as an automatic update. That's coming up on September 6, and if you're still running 0.11 at that time, the update will fail. My email to you precedes the automatic update so that it doesn't cause you any disrupt. Using the installers linked above, you can manually update to .12 today. Make sense?
Ok, I understand now that the issue is only in the update process itself, not that the current version is having a functioning problem itself. I'll do the procedure then.
Install and SW seems to work fine so far with Win8 RTM... but then the old version worked fine... so meh...?
What benefits should we expect from a 64bit install as opposed to the old 32bit version?
