Can't download Mozy Free on new Windows 8 computer. I keep getting "Client Error 9"

I keep getting "Client Error 9" message when I get to the sign in portion of the instillation.

Hello @toomanycatssw,

 

With Mozy getting the ClientError9, have you tried going over the KB Article:

 

MozyClientError9

 

This error occurs when the Mozy service is not running. It may not be running for a variety of reasons, but the most common reason is because it was blocked. Make sure that Mozy is allowed through your anti-virus or temporarily try disabling it during the activation.

I did disable my anti-viral and malware programs and still got the same error message.

@toomanycatssw - Can you navigate to the "Services" page and verify whether Mozy service is running or not.
