The summer is coming to an end and I have really enjoyed my internship here at Mozy. I have been really impressed with my team members and I have learned a lot from them. It has been an experience that I feel will really help to start my career. And I am not just saying this hoping my manager will read this blog. It is how I feel.
Did you know that Mozy gives back to the local community? I have been participating in a Summer Intern Service Project. There are a total of five interns (Zach, Jake, Micah, Ben, and me) that are working at Mozy this summer. We worked together to gather school supplies to fill up thirty backpacks for a local school district. These backpacks will be given out by the school district to children, ages 5 to 18, to kids that would not normally have the learning materials needed for school. It was a lot of fun and a great experience. We placed boxes around the office and got a lot of donations from employees.
There are pictures on Mozy’s Facebook page of what we did. You should check out the Summer Intern Service Project on our Facebook Page. We turned to the service project into a competition between our two buildings, and called it Mozy’s Got Class. As we had extra supplies, we found that Mozy really does have class.
On a side note, make sure you submit your ideas to improve the Community in the Community Improvement Ideas Section. There is only one week left!
