Forgotten Your Password?

Have you forgotten your password? Believe it or not, this is one of the most common cases we see here in Support. Let's talk about how to address a forgotten password.




MozyHome & MozyPro Admins


If you are the admin of your MozyHome or MozyPro account, you can easily request the password reset by following these steps:




  1. Go to mozy.com/login
  2. Click on Forgot Password



  1. Enter the email address you use on the account
  2. Enter the Captcha
  3. Click Continue

 You will then be sent an email to the main email on the account with instructions on how to reset the password. If you don't see it within a few minutes, make sure you check all spam filters or other folders. Sometimes with Gmail it gets sent to the Promotions tab. Once you receive the email, follow the steps within it to reset the password and regain access to your account.


MozyHome: Update Software Password


Don't forget, if you are a MozyHome user, you will need to also enter the new password into the software on the machine. To do so:


  1. Right-click on the Mozy icon in the System Tray (down by the time and date)
  2. Select Settings > More Settings
  3. You should then receive an AccountError1 pop-up noting that your password is incorrect, close it out
  4. You should then be prompted to input and save the new password

MozyPro Users


If you are a MozyPro User and you have forgotten your password, please contact your administrator for assistance. If they have already provided you with a subdomain to log into the account or reset your own password, you can use that, but otherwise they will need to manually reset your password.
