AccountError6 - What is it?

As a support team we are continuing to provide more helpful hints and articles on common errors.  The following information is for AccountError6 found in the KB Article:

AccountError6


 

This error occurs when the product key, entered during setup, is already assigned to another machine or is assigned to a different user group. This error will occur in the Status and History windows after installation fails.

 

To resolve this issue -

 

Contact your system administrator, who must:

  1. Add a device to be available to your user.
  2. Obtain the correct key already assigned to your machine if the device has been setup previously with your user.
  3. Ensure that the email address is not already in use within a different user group. If this is the case, issue a product key from the user group where the user's email address is already in use and then activate the new device.
