This tutorial is a general overview of the MozyPro Admin Console. Terms like "Root Administrators", "User Groups", "Machines" and "Admins" are explained.
When you sign up for a MozyPro account, by default, you become the root administrator. Go to www.mozy.com/login and log in the email address and password associated with the account.
When logged in, the front page displays the Backup window and the Machines window. The Backup window displays two graphically representations of the company’s backup history. The Backup Overview pie chart displays the percentages of successful backups in different periods of recentness. The Backups in the last week graph displays information of backups performed in the last week.
The Machines window displays the machines currently registered to the MozyPro account. It displays the machine name, User, User group, Storage used, when the machine was registered and when was the last Backup.
In the sidebar, click on Users to access the account’s “users”(i.e the people under the administrator). You have various options including adding a new user or a new user group.
In the sidebar, click on Admins to access the account’s “Admins” (i.e the sub administrators under the administrator). You have various options including adding a new admin or creating a new “role” (A set of privileges that the sub admin has in the Mozy account).
In the sidebar, click on Resources to view and manage the resources that the account has. Resources are license keys and storage quota. These can be assigned to users, purchased from the Mozy website and returned if unnecessary. You can also download a specific version of the Mozy Client to be used by your users.
In the sidebar, click on Client Configuration to determine what the users can do with their Mozy clients.
