How to change a user's password in the Admin Console

This tutorial outlines the steps for changing a user's password on the MozyPro Admin Console.

 

 

STEPS:

 

  1. Log in to your account at https://mozy.com/login, using your email address and password.
  2. Click Search/List Users in the left hand menu, in the category of Users.
  3. Enter the user's email address in the search field and click Submit
  4. Click on the user's email address. Here you can see details about the user.
  5. Click Change User Password
  6. In the Password field, enter the new password. Re-enter your password in the Confirm Password field.
  7. Click Save Changes. The user’s password has now being changed.

Updating the user's password on their computer:

  1. The user must update his password on their local machine. Right-click the Mozy icon in the system tray, then select Settings in the menu.
  2. An error message appears as the previous password has been made invalid. Click OK
  3. A window asking for Log in credentials appears. Enter the new user password and click Login.
  4. The password has been changed on the machine. Now repeat steps 1-4 with each computer assigned to this user.
